Kumpur village is located nearby Kathmandu valley in Dhading district in the Bagmati zone of central Nepal and lies at an altitude of around 1500 meters above from sea level. Although the village is near the Kathmandu valley, it is still waiting for the opportunity to be developed or explored all over the world. There are mainly three ethnic groups named Ghale, Gurung and Newar resides in Kumpur village that have their own language, history, tradition and life style. Mainly, Kumpur village is the home land of brave Ghale’s and apart from ethnic group’s castes like Bramin, Sarki and Kami (Bishwo karma) also resides here in some part of the Kumpur village. The peoples of Kumpur village are mostly depended on agriculture as well as some caste has their own cultural and traditional professions. Home stay tour in Kumpur village is the oppurtunity to learn the culture and lifestyles of the locals.
The village is also rich in Natural beauty where one can observe the panoramic view of sunrise and sunset from the hilltop and also get the chance to explore the high snowcapped mountains like Annapurna range, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, Mardi Himal and Gauri Sankar Himal.
Day 01: Kathmandu to Islang village
Early in the morning, our expert tour guide will assists you at your hotel. After breakfast, transfer to Gangabhu bus park for your 2 and half hour drive to Bungchung and after lunch at Bungchung, one and half hour hike to Islang village. On the way interaction with the students at local school and overnight at Islang village (lunch and dinner).
Day 02: Islang village to Kumpur village
After lunch, we will hike up to Kumpur village enjoying the natural view of snow-capped mountains as well as beautiful landscape. On the way, interaction with the students at Kamrang village. School here is established by the community of Kumpur village development committee and overnight at Kumpur village – a Typical Nepali style home stay (Full board basis).
Day 03: Kumpur village to Bhungchung
Early morning wake up call for sunrise view from the hill top. The panoramic view of sunrise over snow-capped mountains can be observed from here. One can also enjoy a close view of typical daily lifestyle of local villagers. Back to village and observe typical Nepali local band called Panche Bajaa. After lunch, hike back to Bhumchung village and overnight at community based selected houses (full board basis).
Day 04: Bungchung to Kathmandu or Pokhara
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara by local transportation.
