Kali gandaki river rafting in Nepal is a wonderful adventure in Nepal. Kali begins its journey high on the Tibetan plateau in the kingdom of Mustang. Using the Deepest gorge in the world that is formed between the Mt. Annapurna (8346m) Massif and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8046m) and named after the ferocious goddess kali, the kali the Gandaki is one of Nepal’s very best rivers for whitewater Adventure rafting.
The Rapid run thick and fast form day one just below the put-in point at near Beni.For most of the three day expedition there is little relent. Mostly Grade III rapid-but sometimes really exhilarating grade Iv and Grade IV+-the kali gandaki caries us cavorting on though steep-walled gorges, under cascading waterfalls to day 3, the last morning.. a grand finale of spectacular, photogenic, big-time whitewater and far more than just the river, the rewards in clued stunning upstream view of the Mt. annapurna range, peaceful beach camps on the river bank and the remote villages of at least five of Nepal’s main Ethic Group.
Day 01: Travel by private bus to Baglung to start. You will views of the Annpurnas as we wind through mountain villages on the way. The 3 hours journey gets us to Baglung by lunch time. We pride ourselves of being obsessed with the quality and variety of the food we provide. scenery is impressive with blue green water, high sided lush green valleys and golden sandstone cliffs with eagle reading the updrafts. On the left, pass fascinating temple and ghat at the river of confluence with the modikhola. To night we camp at one of the nature’s five stat sites with mind blowing views and dancing waterfalls.
Day 02: Grade 3 to 4 world class white water rapids like Rafters’ Refund and landslide. Adrenaline junkies knock your self out but don’t forget to keep glancing back stream to catch view of the amazing Annapurnas. Once camped, the village of Seti Beni is just a short walk up stream and guarantees to delight with its stone flagged lanes and curious youngsters skylarking.
Day 03: Continue down stream, the river cliffs narrow eerily above us and we enter a somber canyon glistering with wet black rocks. You experience what can only be seen from the water. Os drink it all in as we drift towards out take out point, then after having a lunch we drive back to Pokhara by out private bus.
