Overview

Jomsom Muktinath trekking is one of the most popular treks in Annapurna region. The diverse landscapes and cultures found along this trekking route give the perfect insight into the rural life of the Nepalese people. During this trek, one can enjoy with diverse culture of various communities such as Brahman, Chhetri, Thakali, Magar and Gurungs. The main feature of this trek is walking through the gorge carved by the River Kali Gandaki, which carries the water from Tibetan Plateau to eventually join the Ganges in India. Jomsom Muktinath trek is also famous for both Hindus and Buddhist Pilgrimage trekkers.
Jomsom is in Upper Kali Gandaki Valley at an elevation of 2800m. It is also known as Dzongsam or New Fort. Jomsom is the administrative and commercial centre of Mustang district. Muktinath is located at the height of 3,710m and is the scared place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Muktinath temple is considered to be the 105th among the available 108 Divya Desam. The ancient name of this place before Buddhist origin was Thiru saligramam.

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sight seeing of Kathmandu valley. Overnight on Bb basis

Day 03:Fly to Pokhara and Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2874m).

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tatopani (1200m).

Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2010m).

Day 07: Trek from Ghasa to Marpha (2670m).

Day 08: Marpha to Kagbeni (2800m), via Jomsom.

Day 09: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m).

Day 10: Return back to Jomsom (2720m), via same route.

Day 11: Fly back to Pokhara.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu, via Pokhara.

Day 13: Final Departure.

 

Day 01: Arrival In Kathmandu.

Our representative wwill escort you to the hotel. Rest & Dinner. Overnight.

Day 02: Sight seeing of Kathmandu valley.

Full day sight seeing of kathmandu valley.Places like ‘Pashupatinath’ the holiest pilgrimage of hindu religion, ‘Boddhanath’ with four pair of eyes on four direction representing love,peace,compassion,awareness. ‘Swayambhunath’ also known as the monkey temple and the ancient seats of the nepalese Royalties ‘Kathmandu Durbar Square’ which are the best sights that will make your day better.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga.

After breakfast, drive one and half hour to Nayapul, from where trek to Tikhedhunga begins. The first part of the trek is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements. Afterwards the trail ascends gently to the final destination of the day, Tikhedhunga. People here, are engaged in agriculture, tourism business and some in British and Indian regiments. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2874m).
It takes about six hours from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani. The trail passes through Ulleri and Banthanti, Magar village. On the way you can enjoy the panoramic view of Annapurna south, Fishtail and Hiunchuli. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tatopani (1200m).
After breakfast, continue journey towards Tatopani. On the way you will pass through Chitre, Sikha and Ghara (the Magar village). En route the sceneries of the highlighted mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri’s ranges can be enjoyed. Night stay at the lodge.

Day 06: Tatopani to Ghasa (2010m).
It takes about six hours trek from Tatopani to Ghasa. The trail passes through the village of Dana, situated in one of the deepest valley in the world. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Ghasa to Marpha (2670m).
After breakfast, the journey ascends from Ghasa to Marpha following the Kali Gandaki River via Tukuche, the centre of historic salt trade. Overnight.

Day 08: Marpha to Kagbeni (2800m), via Jomsom.
After breakfast, the trek to Kagbeni begins. It takes about five hours trek from Marpha to Kagbeni. Jomsom is the administration center of the Mustang district. Jomsom has flight connection from Pokhara, for those travelers and Pilgrimage to fulfill their years dream without hard efforts. Nightstay in Kagbeni.

Day 09: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m).
It takes about five hours trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath. En route you will pass through the interesting village’s Khingar and Jharkot, which holds great religious significance to both Buddhists and Hindus.

Day 10: Return back from Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m).
After breakfast, return back to Jomsom via same route.

Day 11: Fly back to Pokhara . Overnight
Jomsom is the administration center of the Mustang district. It has a flight connection from Pokhara. On this day you will have an option, either fly for 30 minutes from Jomsom to Pokhara or trek down to Tukuche.

Day 12: Back to Kathmandu from Pokhara (6 hrs).
The very next day we will be heading back to Kathmandu from the lake city Pokhara. It approximately takes 5 to 6 hrs drive via road. Overnight in BB basis in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Final departure.
