Overview

Darjeeling in the north east of India provides the perfect ambiance of a hill resort with its mild climate, its green hills and valley and lush green tea gardens which are the major attraction to the jewel in India’s crown. Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586) looming over the northern horizon gives a magical beauty to the land which entices thousand of visitors.
Here you will visit Pemayangtse Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist lamasery of the Nyingmapa Order and one of the oldest, Kicheopalri Lake which is scared to both Hindu’s and Buddhist’s alike. Another major attraction is Rumtek Monastery, the seat of the Gyalwa Karmapa Lama.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and headed to the destination

Day 04: Sightseeing in Darjeeling (3124m) in India

Day 05: Darjeeling to Bhadrapur and fly back to Kathmandu or extend tour to Gangtok, Sikkim (1600m)

Day 06: Sightseeing of gangtok if extended

Day 07: Back to Kathmandu, Departure or extend tour to Pokhara, Chitwan etc

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu, & transfer to hotel. O/N at Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Visit the UNESCO world heritage sights of kathmandu like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square etc.

Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Bhadrapur
Drive to Darjeeling (144km/6hrs) with stop at the border for immigration formalities and hot lunch at Marina’s in Baghdogrs. O/N at Hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing in Darjeeling (3124m)
Visit Happy Valley Tea Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Zoo, and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. Afternoon take Toy Train ride to visit Railway Museum and Ghoom Monastery. O/N at Hotel.

Day 05: Darjeeling to Bhadrapur and fly back to Kathmandu or extend tour to Gangtok, Sikkim (1600m)
Back to KTM or Early morning trip to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over the Himalayas and after breakfast drive to Gangtok with halt at Rangpoo for Sikkim Permit and Lunch. (116km/5-6hrs). O/N at Hotel.

Day 06: Sightseeing in Gangtok (1600m)
Ganesh Tok View Point, Enchey Monastery, Handicrafts Center and Flower Show (if available). Afternoon: Institute of Tibetology and Rumtek Monastery (24km from Gangtok). O/N at Hotel.

Day 07: Back to Kathmandu, Departure or extend tour to Pokhara, Chitwan etc

Departure or Extend the tour to other destinations of Nepal like Pokhara and  Chitwan
