Altitude Sickness is also named as Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) which is the active problem raised while trekking. AMS can be prevented by acclimatization and excessive amount of fluid is necessary to take for escaping such problems. In case of seriousness quick medical treatment is better in case.
1. Basic Symptoms:
•    Headache.
•    Nausea.
•    Dizziness.
•    Tiredness.
•    Loss of appetite.
•    Up set stomach.
•    Feeling uneasy.
•    Shortness of breath.
•    Increase heart rate.
•    Difficult to sleep.
•    Generally feeling unwell.

2. Medium Symptoms:
•    Severe headache.
•    Nausea and vomiting.
•    Increase shortness in breathing.

•    Swelling of hands and face.

Prevention method of Altitude Sickness:-
The best prevention method for altitude sickness is acclimatization that is by allowing required rest at certain heights. The victim may try some garlic soups and must drink excessive fluid to avoid it. When trekkers are reached to the particular base camp or destination it is better to make some hiking up to a bit higher point and come down to the camp or hotel. This is a really good way to get acclimatization. For the preventation trekkers also can take medicine called Diamox 250mg tablets the night before flying / going to altitude. It helps to make relief sometimes.

In hard cases of AMS the suffered trekkers must be brought down immedietly and be provided with quick medical treatment. Quick arrangements of porters and horses are necessary for descending the trekkers.
